Sunflowers for Ukraine Fundraiser

Sunflowers for Ukraine Fundraiser

The sunflower is Ukraine’s national flower and has been a symbol of resistance, unity, and hope.  Since the invasion, it has brought the world together to show support for Ukrainians.  The colors of their flag with bright blue and yellow are seen on profiles and cover pictures across social media, and on pins and clothing at events.

I am so proud of the United States for showing all the support they can for this atrocity.   However, we can do more.  They need our financial support to help feed, clothe, and shelter refugees.  I am a photographer and have always been attracted to the sunflower.  I have photographed many fields of sunflowers across Europe.  Now, I would like to use the sunflower to provide support for Ukrainian refugees.

I am holding a silent auction for a 30×20 Tuscan Sunflower Metal print.  It is a limited edition with bids starting at $400.  100% of the profits go to one of the 2 following charities verified and endorsed by USA Today.

  1. Chef Jose Andrés has set up his World Central Kitchenon the ground at the Ukraine-Poland border providing warm meals for the hungry. https://wck.org
  1. Save the Children has made its own Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund to help Ukrainian families now! The organization said that it will use donations to help families meet their basic needs such as food, medicine, and shelter on its official website. https://www.savethechildren.org/ukraine

The silent auction will be accepting bids from March 4th, 2022 through March 11th, 2022.  The sunflowers can be seen at Grace Gallery on March’s First Friday Art Walk.

Grace Gallery Fine Art + Neo Art Studio, 877 Santa Fe Drive, Denver, CO 80204

Please contact Diana directly if you would like to make a sunflower purchase outside the silent auction where 100% of the profits go to the above charities.
